Full Time • Branchburg Sports Complex
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of Branchburg Sports Complex. The objectives of this position include: 

  • Creating a positive relationship with clients, clubs/organizations and local businesses
  • Creating a culture of accountability which supports the organizational values 
  • Prepare the facility for daily use by setting up fields/courts for evening rentals/events
  • Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration 
  • Employee retention and staff development
  • Assist with general facility marketing, partnership opportunities
  • Assistance of youth classes/programs, youth sports and facility rentals
  • Assistance with Family Entertainment Center day-to-day operations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist department managers with day-to-day operations including staffing, facility setup, program over site
  • Nights, weekends, and flexibility are a must
  • Be the manager on duty during business hours to assist with all programming/events and staff
  • Confer with General Manager and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate events/activities, and resolve problems
  • Help answering incoming calls/emails regarding registrations, facility rentals and party inquires
  • Direct, plan and implement policies, objectives, and activities of the BSC to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, and increase productivity
  • Represent the organization and promote its objectives at official functions, or delegate representatives to do so
  • Any additional duties assigned by the General Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience
  • Sports programming and Family Entertainment Center experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, food and beverage, related field, or equivalent experience
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALITIES

  • Mechanically inclined or willing to learn basic building maintenance/upkeep
·         Experience working within an indoor facility 

  • Operational knowledge of sports programming, as well as parties, corporate events, team building, and leadership development
  • Proven experience in organizing, booking, and operating sports tournaments/events
·         Looking for an exciting, fast paced job focused around youth development and entertainment
·         Willingness to learn the in’s and out’s of facility operation

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal travel 
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Office and facility have intermittent noise
  • Required to be able to lift up to 50lbs, waist high
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
